Your information. Handled thoughtfully.
Privacy policy.
A clear explanation of the information we receive and how we use it.
Last updated: 13 September 202601. Who we are
Syrili (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is the startup behind syrili.com, developing AI-powered climate intelligence. Syrili is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. This policy covers website visits, contact enquiries, and early-access conversations.
Our contact address is 45 High St, Canterbury, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2SA, GB. You can reach us on +44 7985 737776 or through our contact page.
02. Information we collect
- Information you provide: your name, email address, optional organisation, chosen enquiry topic, and the message you send. Any further information you include is voluntary.
- Correspondence: follow-up messages and information needed to answer your questions or discuss collaboration.
- AI chat: the question you type and a limited recent conversation history, which are sent to our web server to answer your request.
- Technical information: our hosting infrastructure may process your IP address, request time, requested page, and browser information to deliver and protect the website. Contact and chat endpoints temporarily use hashed network identifiers to limit repeated submissions.
This website does not offer account registration or collect payment details. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in a general enquiry or chat question.
03. How and why we use information
- Responding to enquiries: our legitimate interest in communicating with people interested in Syrili. Where your enquiry concerns a potential agreement, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract.
- Early-access discussions: to follow up on your expressed interest and understand the problems you would like to solve. A general enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing newsletter.
- Operating and protecting the website: our legitimate interest in reliable delivery, preventing spam, and investigating technical problems, balanced against your privacy rights.
- Legal requirements: where processing is necessary to comply with an applicable legal obligation.
Contact-form messages are not used to train AI models. We do not use this website to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
05. Retention and security
Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond and maintain a relevant business relationship. Our intended retention period for inactive general enquiries is up to 12 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless a longer period is needed for legal obligations or a dispute. A later service agreement may set different retention requirements.
The application does not persist or log chat messages. Conversation text is held temporarily during server processing and in browser memory until the chat is cleared, closed, or the page is left. It is not saved to cookies or local storage. The website does not write contact-form messages to a public file or browser storage.
Anti-spam counters use 15-minute windows and expired entries are removed on subsequent requests. Email and hosting providers have their own operational and backup retention arrangements.
We use appropriate access controls and provider security features to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
07. Your data protection rights
Depending on your circumstances and applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, erasure of, or restriction of processing of your personal information. You may also have rights to object to processing and to receive certain information in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
Send a request through our privacy enquiry form or call us. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We normally respond within one month; legally permitted extensions will be explained if needed.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab), or to your local supervisory authority where applicable. We welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.
Our website is intended for professional audiences and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can address it.
08. Contact us and policy updates
We may revise this policy as the website develops. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes to the way we use personal information will be communicated where required.
